Each Scale Degree Represents a Mode

Each Scale Degree Represents a Mode

Individually, a mode is a scale. Sometimes, a mode will have a formal name. However, with so many possible modes, most often they do not. And since there are so many modes, scale degrees can be used to name modes without formal names. If a mode does not have a formal name, they can be named numerically using scale degrees, such as the Suspended Pentatonic II, Suspended Pentatonic III, and so on.
