The Architecture of Music

Future Volumes

Depending on the success of Volume 1.0, future volumes will hopefully explore the many scales. Scales are the simplest way to explore music and change your sound. Scales are currently being catalogued and organized and it is the hope of the author to document and organize all 350-400 scales that generate the 2,048 total unique modes. Below, scales are being organized as subtractive variations of the prefect/symmetrical and perfect/semi-symmetrical scales using the linear circle of fifths. Organizing scales in this way aids in the exploration of them as they relate to the common scales they are subtractive variations of giving clues on how to play them.
